Kyrenia Doğa College organised a trip to historical artefacts in the Cyprus History Course
Kyrenia Doğa College students organised a sightseeing activity to see historical monuments within the scope of the Cyprus history course. The first stop was Kyrenia Gate, one of the symbols of Nicosia. Afterwards, the students visited important buildings such as the Venetian Column, the Gamblers’ Inn and the Great Inn from the Ottoman period.
The students, who got to know the architecture of the Middle Ages with a visit to the Lusignan House, also visited Dr. Fazıl Küçük’s House and learnt about the Turkish Cypriot community’s struggle for independence. The trip, which ended with the Selimiye Mosque, strengthened the students’ awareness of history.
The school administration stated that such trips give students the awareness of embracing cultural heritage.
