We attended the ceremony held at the Çanakkale Martyrs’ Memorial as part of the Martyrs’ Week, which takes place from December 21-25.
The ceremony held at our school was filled with very emotional moments. An interview was conducted with Mr. Osman Koral, one of our veterans, discussing life before 1974 and the events during and after 1974. Watching the interview was incredibly moving for all of us; it was like witnessing living evidence of the hardships, suffering, and struggles for survival and the preservation of our nation during those years.
Our wish is that these events never happen again.
