Doğa International Schools Students Announce TRNC’s Voice to the World in International Competition!
Doğa International Schools students represented the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at the VII International ‘Tell the World About Your Hometown’ competition organised by the ‘Innovation Centre for the Development and Education of Children and Young People’ with the support of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The main purpose of the competition is to strengthen cultural ties and promote mutual understanding among participants from different countries.
Great Participation from 81 Countries:
More than 20 thousand videos, presentations and drawings were sent from 81 countries during the competition. Participants introduced the history, culture, traditions and important values of their countries to the world through creative presentations.
💚 The Power of Cultural Representation:
This international competition is of great importance for the cultural promotion of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus as well as the individual talents of our students. Our students increased the visibility of the TRNC by contributing to the opening of the TRNC to the world on this platform; at the same time, they created a strong awareness against the invisible cultural embargoes imposed.
🏆 Pride of Doğa International Schools:
– Alsu Bingöl, one of our students, made it to the finals of the competition and was invited to the award ceremony in Moscow on 7 June to represent the TRNC.
– Our other students who performed impressively in the competition:
– Ayşe Yanaroğlu
– Safina Nazarova
– Amitis Ghadamgahi
We sincerely congratulate all our students for this meaningful achievement and our Russian teacher Lyazzat Bingöl for guiding them. 👏
