Pi Day was celebrated with enthusiasm on 14 March at our school!
One of the most special days in the world of mathematics and science, Pi Day on March 14, is being celebrated with great enthusiasm at Doğa International Schools this year, just as it is around the world.
As part of our Pi Day events, a poster competition on the theme “The Importance of Pi Day” was organized with the participation of 6th, 7th, and 8th-grade students. Additionally, the fact that Pi Day coincides with the birthday of the famous physicist Albert Einstein makes this day even more meaningful for the world of science.
Following a speech by our Head of the Mathematics Department, which highlighted the significance of the day, the eagerly anticipated poster competition took place.
The celebrations continued with various activities emphasizing the fun side of mathematics, and the day concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony. Our students celebrated this special day with enthusiasm, enjoying themselves while learning.
